I don't get this argument. Because couldn't you argue for the same result from the exact opposite situation? I.e. if men were parented by strong fathers, we could just say they're going MAGA because it's familiar to them.

Wouldn't it just be simpler to say that the Democrats are the party of Women and the Republicans are the party of men? It would help explain not just the rightward move of men, but the simultaneous leftward move of women.

Also, it's not just the 4chan guys who are going MAGA. They already were MAGA. It's normal guys who have never once been on 4chan, most of whom have never even heard of it.
