I'm not sure what you mean by terminating the pregnancy not being the same as killing someone. I guess I agree that if we use a really broad defintion of terminated pregnancy, not every termination kills someone. You could say that my wife terminated her first pregnancy by having a c-section. Obviously my son didn't die, so there would be an example of a pregnancy being terminated and no one dying.

But other than that, what happens to the baby when a pregnancy is terminated? Can I meet some of these kids who were part of a terminated pregnancy? Ask them if they think their mom should have carried them to term?

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but isn't the whole point of terminating a pregnancy to get rid of the baby?

The baby is definitely alive during the whole pregnancy. My wife is pregnant right now and she's far enough along that the baby is not just alive, but crazy active.

When someone is alive and then you intervene in a way that causes them to no longer be alive, is that not killing?

I think it's possible that you are correct in your second point, but I can't think of any examples. Do you have any? Even if we do come up with some though, it will take a lot of convincing to get me to believe that this issue is one of those cases. Especially given the original post.

Look, raising kids is tough. But I 've never regretted having my kids. Every regret I have in my life is somewhere where I made the wrong choice and I wish I could redo it.
