Should I Ask Her to Marry Me?
Advice for young men struggling with one of life’s biggest decisions
My wife and I just celebrated our 11th anniversary.
We dated for about six months before I asked her to marry me and we got married less than six months later. I have never once regretted asking Sarah to marry me. It’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made (maybe the best).
Of course, the decision to ask someone to marry you doesn’t always come easily. Shortly after my wife and I got married we went on a double date with her coworker and her coworker’s boyfriend of eight years. It took me six months to pop the question, this guy still didn’t have the guts to pull the trigger after about a hundred months of dating this woman.
So how did I know I should ask Sarah to marry me? If you’re in a relationship, how can you know if you should ask your girlfirend to marry you?
You Should Aspire to Marriage
The first thing to get straight is that marriage is a worthy goal, one that you ought to pursue.
